Goal(s)

To know the main modes of corrosion of metals
To know the influence of environmental parameters (temperature, pH, composition, potential) and materials (nature, alloying elements) on degradation.
Know the electrochemical methods of studying corrosion
Know how to set up and follow an experimental protocol for studying corrosion
Know how to exploit experimental data, in particular how to calculate a corrosion rate
