Goal(s)

Focusing on a practical example of electrochemical system, study the issues of the bibliographic survey, labwork and/or modelling.

LEVEL : Advanced lecture in electrochemistry.

Content(s)

The following list gives some examples of possible projects:

  • Metal codeposition in Hull cell (ex. Cu-Zn, Co-Ni)
  • Electrochromism
  • Polyaniline (PANI) oxidoreduction; comparing the graphite paste electrode and the cavity microelectrode
  • Auto-oscillating electrochemical system (ex. Ni in H2SO4 medium)
  • Study of the oxygen reduction mechanism on various materials (ex. C, Au, Pt)
  • Influence of industrial DSA anodes on the electrocatalytic decomposition of water


Prerequisites

Basics in electrochemistry; advanced notions in electrochemical kinetics and methods.

Written report + oral presentation
