Goals

* To provide basic theory and techniques in signal processing, particularly for further specialisation.
* To illustrate different application domains: filtering, modulation, spectral analysis, noise reduction, etc.

* Linear and time-invariant systems
* Convolution and linear filtering
* Certain signals
* Correlation and relations of energy
* Modulated signals and frequency changes
* Spectral analyser
* Sampling and Shannon's theorem
* Fourier transform for discrete signals
* Random signals, stationary properties, white noise
