Goals

Using illustrative examples, lectures will explain the basics of inter- and
intracellular communication, the different techniques to study cell responses and the
complementarity between experimental approaches at different scales.

Regulation of protein activity by phosphorylation
Signal transduction to the nucleus and transcription regulation
Termination of cell responses
G-protein coupled receptors
Receptors with tyrosine kinase activity

Molecular basis of cancers
