Goals

The objectif of this course is to deepen the knowledge of process design in order to realize energy and material savings. Specific processes of energy or energy vector production will also be studied. Finally the processes of recycling and material recovery will be detailed.

I. Power production and processes for vector energy production

  • Production of hydrogen, methane andbiofuels
  • Electrochemical generators

II. Reasonable use of energy

  • Hybrid systems, Cogeneration
  • Heat network integration, pinch theory

III. Recycling

  • Biomass - biofuelcells (enzymatic and microbial)
  • Recovery of metals (fragmentation, dissolution, recovery)
