Goal(s)
At the issue of this class, you should be able to
- understand the particularities of (bio)medical signals and images and their processing, and
- conduct a signal/image processing chain from raw data to its (automatic) interpretation.
Content(s)
Automatic processing of biological/medical information is gaining importance in life science and a main challenge for companies working in the field.
In this course, after a general presentation of biomedical signal and image particularities and acquisition systems, three applications are studied in more detail during practical lab sessions.
Prerequisites
Signal processing, Random signal processing, Image processing, Probability and statistics, Programming skills in a scripting language (e.g., Matlab, Python or R)
Reports on lab sessions
Session 1 : mark = 100% reports on lab sessions
Session 2 : new project to do and analysis of research article, mark = 100% on the new work
Rapports de BE
Session 1 : note = 100% contrôle continu
Session 2 : nouveau BE à travailler et article à analyser, note = 50% comptes rendus (session 1) + 50% rapport d'analyse
