Goal(s)

This course deals with the fondamental principles (physical layer) of wireless communications. The first objective is the comprehension of the specificities of the radio-mobile communication channel (multi-path propagation, Doppler effect) and consequences (interference, fading). The second objective is to give an overview about advanced and recent techniques (OFDM modulation multiple acces CDMA, diversity technique, ...) for communication, diffusion or localisation (WIFI, UMTS, TNT, Galileo, ...).
