Goal(s)

Know the main modes of metal corrosion.
Know the influence of environmental parameters (temperature, pH, composition, potential) and materials (nature, alloying elements) on degradation.
Know the electrochemical methods for studying corrosion
Know how to set up and follow an experimental protocol for studying corrosion
Know how to use experimental data, in particular how to calculate corrosion rate
