Micro- and Nanodevices for Biology and Medicine I and II
Biosensors and biological measurement technology

The interdisciplinary work of a biomedical engineer is illustrated with practicals on the glucose sensor:

TD, computer-assisted analysis of the 3D structure of the enzyme Glucose oxydase
3 sessions of practical labwork (TP):
Labview, design of a potentiostat and data aquisition
Electrochemistry, design of an electrode and electrochemical quantification of glucose
Spectroscopy, glucose quantification with a colorimetric readout and biochemistry



Prerequisites

none

Test

3 practical TP sessions, 1 written report for each session (3 x 0.25 ECTS)
1 TD session, 1 written report (0.25 ECTS)
Final mark = average of the 4 marks (4 x 0.25 ECTS)
