Goal(s)
To take a practical approach to the techniques for implementing distributed applications (full-stack applications) in an IOT/Web context.
Contact Sebastien VIARDOTContent(s)
- Introduction to databases and ORMs
- Web/Mobile frontend using html/css/javascript at first and then React
- Rest API and authentication using node/express
- Devops -> Continuous integration and continuous deployment (gitlab-ci, public cloud)
Prerequisites
No specific prerequisites, but it is recommended to have taken courses dealing with the following concepts (but not mandatory):
- Imperative programming (C) and object-oriented programming
- You are going to develop an application, and some object concepts will be implemented in it, as well as design methodologies
- Networks - The implemented applications are potentially spread over several servers, Interactions between these servers require asynchronous communication and appropriate programming. - Operating Systems - System aspects are omnipresent in the operation of the implemented applications (parallelism, resource management,...), and moreover the CI/CD implementation requires the understanding of the OSes
Test
On-machine review with restricted access to certain sites (no access to generative AI) (E). The exam grade can be modulated by the elements requested during the semester (quiz, practical work and peer evaluation). No documents allowed during the test.
