Goal(s)

Study communication network architectures and their security.
Build a strong knowledge foundation in network and security to be able to grasp more complex systems, protocols and attacks.

The goal is to learn about communication network through the TCP/IP and Internet models. The class will be both theoretical and practical. Labs will train practical protocol deployment.

  • network layer : IP and routing
  • transport layer : UDP/TCP, NAT
  • basic network security
  • attacks on vulnerable protocols
  • general knowledge on recent security events

The labs :

  • Building a network
  • TCP/UDP
  • NAT, firewall
  • ARP Spoofing
