Goal(s)

Mathematics: Revision and deepening of fundamental mathematical methods for engineers.
Heat Transfer : This course aims to provide students with a solid understanding of the fundamental modes of heat transfer (conduction and convection) and to give them the analytical skills required to solve representative engineering problems.

Conduction and convective heat transfers : 10h CM + 8h TD
1. Basics of Heat Transfer
2. Steady State Conduction Heat Transfer
3. Fins
4. Transient Conduction
5. Convection Heat transfer (Forced and Free)

Mathematics : 18h CM + 8h TD : integrals, Taylor and McLauren series, first order ordinary differetial equations, second order ordinary differetial equations, Laplace transforms, Fourier transforms, Complex Analysis



Prerequisites

Mathematics: This is a review lecture intended for students who already possess a basic familiarity with the majority of the methods discussed.
