Master MaNuEn - International master Program in Material Sciences for Nuclear Energy
The program (300 hours of courses in english ) is focused on materials used for nuclear fuels and structural components of reactor core.
Industry and research Industry (EDF) and Research (CEA) are both strongly involved in the design of the program and the content of the courses as well as training of the students

Components design, material selection, characterization, optimisation, metallurgical and physico-chemical aspects of ageing under irradiation are the differents topics treated in the program.
Objective and careers
The courses content has been carefully designed with the help of EDF and CEA to train material engineers with a culture in nuclear physics and thermal hydraulics to meet the needs for the management of the current nuclear power plant, its ageing, its replacement and the development of the next generation of reactors.
Immersion learning
During the first semester of the master, students have the opportunity to spend between one or 3 weeks either at EDF R&D research center or at the center of the CEA Cadarache. This "immersion learning" stay is a unique experience and provide students the opportunity to visit nuclear installations, and attend courses in a professional environment.
