- Relate processes, structure and properties.
Content(s)
Lectures/practicals :
- Processes from powders (powder production, cold and hot forming, sintering)
- Processes from liquids(moulding, solidification, induction, continuous casting)
- Solid state forming (rolling, forging, stamping, extrusion, plastic stability, damage)
- Processes for polymers (extrusion, injection molding, compounding)
- forming composite materials(elaboration matrix and reinforcements)
- Assembling (mechanical, soldering, brasing, glueing)
Practicals :
- A group project performed in a research laboratory in order to fully cover one technology. At the end, presentations to the other groups.
Prerequisites
Elaboration 1 and 2 lectures of SIM-1A, or equivalent.
Test
Written exam + oral defense
