Goal(s)
experimental training based on a set of practical experiments covering a large panel of techniques
encountered in industry and in labs (cryogenics, vacuum techniques). The student realises measurements and analyses them with a critical point of view.
Content(s)
- Superconductivity (4h): helium cryogenics, Tc measurement, trapped flux.
- 2d materials: principle and use of atomic force and tunneling microscopes. Study of 2d materials.
- Hall effect (4h) : study of a low gap InSb semiconductor
- Quantum optics: Bell inequalities
