Goal(s)

Develop a critical viewpoint with regards to a scientific topic treated in a presentation and writing. Understanding recent scientific concepts in the domains of the master (signal processing, image processing, statistical inference). Developping the ability to report the contents of a scientific presentation the student has attended to together with its associated papers.

WPMTSSW0 Scientific writing (SIGMA S10)

Test

Semester 10 - The exam is given in english only 

  • PRES: 5 minute presentation summarising one of the seminars (chosen at random by the exam committee)
  • QA: reformulation of the answer (max. 1 page) of the invited scientific to a question prepared by the student


N1 = 67%PRES + 33%QA1
N2 = 67%PRES + 33%QA2

In case on-site access is no longer possible for the students, visioconferencing solutions may be used for the oral presentation.
