Goal(s)

Instantaneous local conservation equations at interfaces and on a triple junction. Behavioural and state equations at interfaces: general concepts relating to contaminated interfaces (surfactants and surface tension, adsorption isotherms, adsorption kinetics, interfacial molecular transport) and notions of surface rheology. Measurement of surface tension. Measurement of surface viscosities by capillary wave attenuation. Characterisation of adsorption-desorption kinetics based on the Savart experiment. Terminal velocity of particles in an infinite stagnant medium. BBOT equation. Particles in turbulence and atomisation.
