Double-degree agreement with Satbayev University of Kazakhstan

Grenoble INP – UGA had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from Satbayev University, the largest and oldest technical university in Kazakhstan, for the signing of a double-degree agreement in the field of nuclear energy.
Collaboration with Kazakhstan – Establishing training programs in civil nuclear energy

Accompanied by Mrs. Agnès Bousset, representative of the French Consulate in Almaty, director of the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute and the Geo-Energy Center, the delegation included the First Vice-Rector Samgat Yermekbayev, the Director of Cooperation with France, Dr. Dilyara Urmanova, and the Director of International Relations, Dr. Nurgul Nalgozhina.

This visit marks the culmination of in-depth work initiated by the teaching teams of Grenoble INP - Phelma, UGA, in partnership with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Institute of Nuclear Energy (I2EN). The objective is to develop training programs in the field of civil nuclear energy. As part of this initiative, the school welcomed its first Kazakhstani students in September and is now preparing to send students on international mobility to Satbayev University, whose scientific themes align with those of Grenoble INP – Phelma, UGA.

The signing ceremony for the "Bachelor in Nuclear Engineering" double degree took place in the presence of Vivien Quéma, General Administrator of Grenoble INP – UGA, and Samgat Yermekbayev, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and International Relations at Satbayev University. The event brought together prominent figures, including Her Excellency Ambassador Arystankoulova, Mr. Dugalov, representative of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan, and Mrs. Sophie Sidos, Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan.

This agreement represents a significant step forward in strengthening ties between Grenoble INP - UGA and Kazakhstani universities. It marks the first stage in the co-construction of high-level technical education programs.
