    ECTS 1.5

To supply the knowledge needed to design analog integrated circuits in CMOS processes.

3 main objectives

  • Examples and application cases on the firt part of the analog course (with Laurent Aubard)based on filtering stages
  • Design from system features up to basic design blocks with a top-down approach.
  • Noise considerations in analog design

Part1: Analog filtering

  • Weighted integrator synthesis and Weighted integrator structures
  • Gm-C Filters (Continuous Time Filter)
    Switched-Capacitor Filters (Discrete Time Filter)

Part 2: Noise consideration

  • Noise sources into passive and active components
  • Noise into amplifier stage
  • Equivalent input noise of amplifier stage

Electrical circuits, 1st and 2nd order filters, Bode, operational amplifier, noise sources.
