Goal(s)

Many physical systems can be modeled by a set of differential equations, involving inputs, outputs, but also the internal state of the system. The objective of this course is to study dynamic systems via this state representation, whether with continuous time or discrete time modeling.

Content(s)

Introduction: Modeling/simulation tools for biological/physical systems
Linear differential equations: resolution, stability, phase portrait
State representation: Commandability vs. Observability
Discrete-time systems
Non-linear systems

The TPs will be done using the xcos/scilab environment.



Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of mathematics; Signal processing (Laplace Transform, Z-transform)
