The main objective of S7 - 'CAREER ENGLISH' and S8 'ELECTIVES IN ENGLISH' - is to prepare students for the working and multicultural world in English-speaking countries/an English context. The course is based on the acquisition of knowledge, know-how and attitudes essential to successfully fit into an English-speaking work environment.
Contact Guillaume BOULICThis first semester will be centered on finding an internship in an English speaking country/context. Students will write a CV, update their LinkedIn profile and will be interviewed for an internship of their choice.
Academic, scientific and technical language will be further developed in a 'personal profile', targeted to an internship in a company/lab or for graduate programs.
Debating skills will also be honed in this S7 course through prepared Oxford-style debates.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Minimum B1/B2 CEFRL English level.
Semester 7 - The exam is given in english only
100% internal assessment. Regular attendance is essential.
Semester 7: 35% preparation for an internship (CV, interview & interview report); 25% personal profile; 20% debating; 20% active engagement in learning tasks.
100% internal assessment in class or remote learning scenari. Attendance and active participation in class are essential.

Catch-up exams (remote or on-site): oral or written assessment subject to the student's failed assessment(s).
