Use of basic statistical methods for process study and control, or as a prelude to other modules (design of experiments, quality, control charts).

- Linear model with interactions: full and fractional factorial designs at 2 levels, Taguchi orthogonal arrays at 2 levels, search for optimum direction
- Quadratic model: 3-level factorial designs, central composite designs, other designs, localization of optimum
- Optimization of multiple responses: overlay of isoresponse curves, weighted additive response, desirability coefficient
