Summary

"Photonics and Semiconductors" track is a joint program with the Grenoble INP - Phelma engineering school, focusing on components for photonics, electronics, and optoelectronics. These topics are at the heart of research and industry in many sectors, such as information technology.

Objectives

This well-rounded program provides students with a broad range of skills, covering everything from the physics of these components to their applications, including their fabrication and characterization.

Examples of devices studied include semiconductor lasers, nonlinear optical frequency converters, CMOS sensors, and THz photodetectors.

This program can be supplemented by a dissertation in an academic laboratory or in industry (CIFRE contract), as this sector has a particularly high demand for PhDs for R&D positions.
