Goals

The goal is to exploit the student's knowledge by solving an open problem in a multi-disciplinary team. Whereas the problem is solved using algorithmic approaches for data and signal processing, an understanding of the underlying physics will help to better design a solution.

Content

The problem changes from year to year but will stay focussed on data and signal processing applications.



Prerequisites

Solid bases in machine learning, signal processing, image processing and basic knowledge of physics should help the student in the design of their algorithmic approach to solving the open problem.

Tests

Semester 10 - The exam is given in english only 

THe project is evaluated through a report, a presentation and a ranking on the performance amongst all participating teams.



only applicable if students can follow the data challenge on site (course will not be available otherwise)

1/3 rapport écrit/written report, 1/3 présentation orale/oral presentation, 1/3 performance relative/performance ranking
