Nuclear energy & renewable energy

The Phelma engineering and master’s degree programmes cover the fields of nuclear energy and alternative energies such as photovoltaics, hydrogen fuel cells and lithium batteries etc.

Nuclear energy
Phelma engineers design new energy technologies while improving the efficiency and safety of existing facilities, particularly in the field of nuclear energy, with the development of the next generation of safer and more efficient reactors, optimisation of the operation of existing facilities, continuous improvement of safety and control of industrial risks, development of new nuclear fuels, reprocessing of waste, fundamental and applied research in nuclear physics, accelerators etc.

Renewable energy
Phelma also trains its students in technologies for new energy sources, from photovoltaics on the roofs of our houses, to new higher-capacity and longer-life batteries or accumulators for our smartphones, and hydrogen fuel cells to power our vehicles.
